Former sexy actress Aleck Bovick revealed that she is currently seeing someone of the same gender. In an interview with Kapuso star Mikee Quintos, the actress shared that it took her 39 years before she found her true self. 

Aleck didn’t disclose the name of her partner but affirmed that she is part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Despite only coming to terms about her sexuality before she turned 40 years old, she admitted that she has always felt something different about herself even during her younger years.

“Bata pa lang kasi ako meron na 'kong na-fi-feel, napapansin sa sarili ko pero di ko siya pinansin, in-entertain, tuloy-tuloy lang. The way ako kumilos, the way ako pumorma, the way ako magsalita,” she narrated.

Aleck added that as she turned a year older, she still felt that she was lacking something about herself which she would later on come to terms with.

“Tapos ngayon, nung 39 na ako, sabi ko parang there’s something missing hindi ko alam yun. Ano mali, parang may kulang? Tapos ayun na,” she added.

When asked if she’s happily partnered, the Kapuso actress gave a definitive nod and affirmed that she is part of the LGBTQIA+ community.

“Nasa LGBT world tayo ngayon,” she happily shared.

While she has already accepted her true self, Aleck maintained the process of it hasn’t been the easiest for her. She considered several factors that would make her coming out story much harder.

“Nung una, yes. Totoo ba? Tanda ko na ha, ano na lang sasabihin nila? Paano 'yung ganito, totoo ba 'to, ma-c-confirm ko ba sa sarili ko? Tapos parang sabi ko, 'Eh kiber. Kung ganito talaga ako, kailangan 'kong tanggapin, kailangan ko siyang i-accept,”” she said.

The former sexy star added that she is happy about her decision of choosing to love and accept herself.

“Hindi ka naman selfish pag pinili mo rin namang mahalin 'yung sarili mo,” she ended.
