MANILA (UPDATED) — Social media users were shocked Friday night after finding out Andi Eigenmann and partner Philmar Alipayo have unfollowed each other on Instagram, with both posting series of cryptic stories that have given rise to speculations of cheating.

Eigenmann had several Instagram stories saying she saw suspicious signs and "red flags", but chose to ignore them.

"They stab you and pretend they are the ones bleeding," she wrote on her Instagram story.

"I just found out it's the year of snake!! I thought it was the year of the wolf in sheep's clothing!" the actress stated, showing an illustration of a snake.

One story that caught social media users' attention was her conversation with an AI chatbot asking if it is suspicious "when a friend invites your life partner to get love couples tattoo without even filling you or consulting you?"

This was when fans easily spotted Alipayo and his foreign friend Pernilla Sjoo's photo showing they both have a "224" tattoo design.

Eigenmann recounted on her story that she had a fight with Alipayo and Sjoo "[came] to his rescue", inviting him to get the tattoo.

"I have seen the red flags but chose to look beyond it. Since she was already a friend before I came into the picture. Was shy to call it out to my partner," she added, saying she now understands the importance of "setting boundaries" in a relationship.

In a new set of Instagram stories, the actress explained that Sjoo supposedly "betrayed" her and even "encouraged [her] husband to break up with [her]" whenever they fight.

"She didn't honor my side by choosing to celebrate her and my husband's love for each other because the day after our fight, she inserted herself in the situation by encouraging him to go for a spontaneous love couple tattoo together," Eigenmann said.

While clarifying that Alipayo did not cheat on her because she would always be there when her husband goes with Sjoo, the actress mentioned that Alipayo's action still hurt her.

"But [this] post was to just show that no normal person with good intentions would think it's okay for a 'friend' to encourage someone else's husband to do this [getting a couple tattoo] without considering the partner's feelings," she continued.

Eigenmann recalled that her other friends would tell their husbands to stay away from Sjoo, and hoped she should have listened.

"I should have called it out the first time me and my husband found it weird that she just gets a huge tattoo on her skin dedicated to him [Alipayo]!" she wrote.

She also stated that she would have not posted the issue if only Sjoo would respond to her.

Instagram/@andieigengirlAlipayo, on the other hand, seemingly accepted public reception of Eigenmann's stories as people online accused him of cheating.

"Kung ano man ang inyong nabasa, yon ay totoo. Wala ng taguan dahil mahirap," he said on his Instagram story.

"Kilala ninyo naman ako kung ano pagkatao ko. So, siguro kilala ninyo na kung ano siya. Hindi na kailangan pahabain pa," he added.

Earlier this January 2025, Eigenmann told Melai Cantiveros on the Bisaya talk show “Kuan On One” how she fell for simple living in Siargao and Alipayo's genuine love where she felt no need to pretend.

“'Yung tingin niya sa akin ay isang normal na tao lang. So, kung sino ako, ganu’n lang din siya. Hindi ko kailangang mag-pretend. Binigyan niya ako ng chance na ipakita sa kanya kung sino talaga ako,” the actress shared.

In May 2024, Alipayo was also caught in a controversy after being seen in a video with another woman. Eigenmann explained then that her partner can "chat with whoever he wants".
