Sharon Cuneta’s egg diet revealed: ‘Di ako puwedeng laging deprived!’

It was almost three years ago when Sharon Cuneta first revealed her impressive weight loss journey, having lost 85 pounds in six years and working towards a fitter and healthier body. This year, the 59-year-old kapamilya star gave in to her fans and revealed the diet regimen she is currently on after being deluged with requests to reveal her routine. 

In her Instagram post last February 4, Sharon shared a screenshot of the “Egg Diet For Weight Loss” episode from a YouTube channel called Versatile Vicky Official which is about a 900 calorie meal plan which helps you lose 10 kilos in 10 days.

She wrote in the caption, “Ang dami nyong tanong tungkol sa paano ako pumapayat! So ito na. Sa YouTube po yan. Disclaimer: Please consult your doctor first kung gagawin ninyo ito! Malala po at malupit ito pero ilang beses ko na ginawa just to jumpstart my weight loss (Yes Tita Charo @charosantos totoo po kuwento ni Beyoncé @jeffreyaromin sa inyo years ago pa dahil buong araw kami magkasama lagi at yan ang kinakain ko sa harap nila!😂😂😂).”



The Megastar admitted she does not complete the 10-day plan as she does not want to look too unhealthy doing drastic changes in her eating habits. She revealed consulting local doctors for her diet as well. She wrote, “Di ko naman binubuo ang 10 days lagi kasi pag sobrang bilis ka mag-lose ng weight magsa-sag ka at magmumukhang tuyot! Tapos normalized uli ang kain ko. Tapos gagawin ko diet na prescribed by Doc Aivee @draivee and Doc Z @drzteo based on my body makeup and then normal eating uli ako.”

Cautioning her fans about what works for her may not work for them, Sharon also shared eating preferences and frequently snacking through the day.

“Babala: ang normal sa akin ay di normal sa iba! Una, di talaga ako mahilig sa kanin. Bread ang downfall ko! So pag 'normal' ko na ang kain ko, 1/6 cup lang ng rice (mineasure ng yaya ko!), iwas tinapay, tapos LAHAT kakainin ko - pero lahat tikim lang!

"Nasanay na ako na pag gusto ko ng cake, di ko naman pala kailangan ubusin ang buong slice! Ulam gusto ko (minsan gulay ang ginagawa kong kanin) - tikim lahat at pag busog na, stop na. Kahit every two hours ako kumain, puro tikim lang (alam nila Regine @reginevalcasid yan at minsan nung Iconic Tour sabi niya sa akin, 'Ate pinapanood kita kumain eh tikim tikim ka lang!'). Madami akong oorderin para lahat titikman ko tapos ang umuubos mga kasama ko na!😂😂😂” 

Before ending her post, the well loved star reminded her followers to consult a doctor before going on any kind of diet and to stay away from appetite suppressing medication.

“Ayan na sinabi ko na lahat. Di ako puedeng laging deprived kundi magbibinge ako! Kaya kung gagawin nyo please tanong muna sa doctor nyo okay po? Konting tiis lang - ivisualize niyo bawat minuto ang itchura niyo pag payat na at isipin niyo di naman mawawala yung pagkain na gusto nyo at kakainin nyo lahat yun pag payat na kayo (yun ang ginagawa ko)! Kung kaya ko na pinakamatakaw sa mundo, kaya niyo rin!!! Love you all. ❤️🥰😘

"P.S. If you’re like me (I hane had a heart condition since 2003. My heart rate was way faster than normal and I have been on maintenance meds since. Di ako puede magpalpitate), please do not take any medicine to curb your appetite. Ask your doctor muna and that is the best!”
