Photos of Taecyeon and his girlfriend began circulating on social media early Wednesday, showing the 36-year-old idol presenting a ring and bouquet to his girlfriend against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower, leading to speculations that he had proposed.

But Taecyeon's management company, 51K, clarified that the photos "were not taken as part of a marriage proposal," Korean entertainment news portal Soompi reported.

"The photos, which were taken last year to celebrate his girlfriend’s birthday, were unfortunately leaked and spread across online communities," the representative from 51K was quoted as saying in the article.

The photos were reportedly uploaded by a photographer on their social media account but have been deleted.

The company added that Taecyeon had "no immediate plans for marriage at this time."

Taecyeon, who rose to fame as a member of the K-pop boy band 2PM, publicly acknowledged his relationship with his girlfriend in 2020.

Apart from being an idol, Taecyeon has also starred in several dramas, such as "Dream High," "Save Me," "Vincenzo," and "Heartbeat."
