BINI member Aiah Arceta took the opportunity to address critics and bashers during the group’s contract signing with ABS-CBN on Tuesday, February 4.

While expressing her gratitude, Aiah became emotional as she acknowledged the painful words thrown at them.

“To our bashers, thank you. Hindi po siya madali to see the bashing, hating and all the negativity. Hindi siya madali. Masakit siya pero you know what, thank you kasi that what motivates us to keep pushing, to be stronger and to really give out our all,” she said.

The eldest member of BINI highlighted how they transform negativity into motivation to improve themselves.

“At least that is something that we can turn into something great,” Aiah remarked.

She added, “Masakit siya pero it also allows us to look at all the brighter things in life and the many things that we could be grateful for.”

Despite the pain, she emphasized how these experiences push her to remain kind and loving.

“Sa mga bashers, ang sakit niyo magsalita pero thank you pa rin. Because of it, parang mas lalo ako tuloy nagkakapurpose kung bakit it’s always nice to be loving kasi ang daming hate, ang daming negativities so parang you get to see all of it and it makes you have a purpose to keep doing good because people need that love. People need that kindness,” she remarked.

Aiah also reflected on the significance of their contract signing with ABS-CBN, which she sees as proof of their strength and unity as a group.

“Us being here, being walo, being complete as 8, it shows how strong we are together kasi ang dami naming pinagdaanan na na hindi namin sinasabi or ipinapakita. Maybe siguro minsan umaapaw na and nakikita pero mas marami pang hindi namin ipinapakita na mas masakit pa but we are strong,” she added.

Fueled by passion and dreams together, Aiah looks forward to future opportunities and milestones with her fellow BINI members.

“Ang strong namin kasi nagrenew pa kami. We are strong because we know we can do it and mas na-strengthen pa namin ang bond namin sa isa’t isa, yung skills namin and just in general with how we gonna be in the future,” she said.

“I also want to thank our future selves kasi there’s going to be more in the future, it’s going to be more exciting, it’s going to be a lot of ups and downs and at least we are complete. It’s either walo o wala,” she strongly expressed.

Aiah’s statement appears to be in response to recent rumors about her potential departure from the popular girl group.

On her X (formerly Twitter) account, Aiah previously addressed these speculations, saying she chose to stay silent for the time being.

“I just want to share how crazy it is that times right now are different, especially in this fast-growing world of social media where anything can be perceived, any issue can arise, any theories can be made, and just about anything can happen, whether it is good or bad,” Aiah said.

She then reflected on how her faith has helped her navigate these challenges.

“I’ve been silent lately, but it’s because, in silence, you get to see and hear more. You learn a lot when you stay still. One thing I have also learned is that amidst the noise, in contrast to silence, He is what makes my world calm and at peace. As long as He is there, I will always carry my faith and my strength toward Him,” she continued.

Aiah ended her post with a heartfelt wish for love and peace to everyone, saying, “I hope and pray that everyone who reads this will always have love and peace in their hearts. I also pray for those who hold onto spite, that it may be washed away so they can find peace and goodness within. The world needs love. People need love. I hope we are all filled with love so we can share it with others.”

Meanwhile, BINI’s leader, Jhoanna Robles, also dismissed the departure rumors during the media conference.

“Ang dami kasing fake news. Ang daming fake news na malalagasan na ang BINI ng member. Hello! We just signed a contract.”
