Kapamilya actress Ria Atayde took to social media to share glimpses of the baptism of her and her husband, actor Zanjoe Marudo’s son, Sabino.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Ria expressed her gratitude to Sabino’s godparents for attending the ceremony and committing to be part of his life.

“Thank you to the Ninongs and Ninangs who said yes to being a part of the village that will raise our child,” Ria said.

She also extended her appreciation to everyone who joined them in celebrating this special milestone.

“And thank you to the rest of that village who came and celebrate this milestone with us 🤍 we love you all and appreciate the love you have for Sabino ✨,” Ria added.

Ria also thanked those who helped organize the event, saying, “Thank you @titocaluag for presiding the mass. Thank you @kynokho and team for another beautiful venue transformation. And thank you @martindes___ @nikkigraceeee for the photos and video 🤍.”

The baptism was a star-studded affair, with several celebrities standing as Sabino’s godparents. Among them were multi-awarded and box office queen Kathryn Bernardo, Kapamilya actress Jane Oineza, Pinoy Big Brother host Enchong Dee, PBA player LA Tenorio, Alex Godinez, and Incognito actor Daniel Padilla.

Ria’s siblings, Time to Dance host Gela Atayde and actor-turned-politician Arjo Atayde, also stood as Sabino’s godparents.

A video from the event showed the celebrity family enjoying the occasion, taking photos, and playing with Sabino. Ria’s mother, veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez, was seen affectionately caressing her daughter and grandson.

Also spotted at the celebration were Arjo’s wife, actress and host Maine Mendoza, as well as actor Yubs Azarcon.

Ria and Zanjoe first announced they were expecting their first child during the Father’s Day celebration in 2024. They later had a double celebration for Zanjoe’s birthday and their baby shower, where they revealed they were expecting a baby boy in July. Their son, Sabino, was born in September 2024.

“Surrounded by loving family and close friends, the day was filled with special memories and heartfelt wishes as everybody celebrated the arrival of the newest member of the family, Baby Marudo!” they said, posting photos from the event.

As she embraces motherhood, Ria reflected on her journey as a first-time mom earlier this year.

"A little MIA but a whole lot of life and love these past few months. Thank you to everyone who has helped make it easier and a lot of more fun — especially @onlyzanjoemarudo 🤍," she said.
