Even though Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, Vina Morales said that she is not bothered about not having a date yet this year. The talented actress and singer confirmed her split from her American boyfriend Andrew Kovalcin last year. The two had dated for two years.

“I’m single and I’m ready to mingle! (laughs). Wala akong bago,” she admitted. “Wala, it just so happened that it wasn’t really meant and actually, ewan ko ba anong nangyari. But you know that’s how life is di ba? You’ll never know who you end up with. I know there’s a person for me out there.”

The 49-year-old performer revealed in a previous interview that she is even on speaking terms with her ex-boyfriend businessman Cedric Lee, who is the father of her daughter Ceana. And it juts didn’t work out. He’s meant for somebody else and I’m meant for someone else I guess. That’s how life is,” she admitted.

After dating a foreigner, Vina said she is now opening her heart to the possibility of dating a fellow Pinoy next time around. “Huwag na mag-AFAM? For a change, Filipino na? But when I realized that if it’s Filipino then why not di ba?” she said jokingly.

Despite her current status, Vina said there is no room for bitterness in her heart and explains why she will always be ready to welcome love back into her life. “Siyempre mas maganda yung may blessing ka from God, ‘yung relationship niyo. Siyempre any woman would want to get married. I’m not closing my doors,” she said.
