It has been almost two decades since she was hailed as the Big Winner of Pinoy Big Brother’s first Celebrity edition in 2006 and Keanna Reeves admitted it’s been a while since her last regular acting gig. The 55-year-old sexy comedienne shared that she is currently focusing on growing her various businesses.

“Wala pa akong project pero may mga shows abroad. Nag-focus kasi ako sa business ko kasi ang hirap din kasi,” she shared when PUSH ABS-CBN caught up with her after she attended the Timeless: Music and Laughter concert featuring Arnell Ignacio and The New Minstrels last February 15 at Century Park Manila.

Looking back, Keanna said it would have served her well had she started doing business earlier on. She advised younger stars to consider venturing into business even while active in showbiz, noting that a showbiz career holds no guarantees. Keanna’s last regular show was as part of the cast of the iWantTFC series Hoy, Love You! starring Joross Gamboa and Roxanne Guinoo back in 2022.

“Kung bigyan ako ng chance nung active pa ako noon, siguro sinasabay ko itong pag-bi-business ko. Kasi naghirap din sa showbiz, kasi sabi nga natin hindi siya stable job. Mahirap talaga. Mauubos ka rin eh,” Keanna said. “So ang payo ko sa mga artista, kung kaya ng oras nila, mag-business sila. Kasi mahirap talaga na maubusan ka.”

This year, Keanna revealed her newest venture with her business partner will be a food establishment in the south opening next month. 

“This coming March, may itatayo kaming restaurant somewhere in Laguna. Then may sarili akong food gourmet brand na mga gourmet bangus, gourmet bagoong, pastel, tapos may mga damit. Nag-la-live selling din ako online tapos may sarili din akong production. So may mga shows din ako,” she explained.

With recent celebrities like Neri Miranda and Rufa Mae Quinto recently making headlines regarding their business-related transactions, Keanna says she really takes a serious approach to any business dealings she goes into.

“Oo naman ganito lang ako pero sa mga transaction ko mga malalaking tao. Kaya din maingat din ako sa kukunin kong project kasi siyempre ‘yung trust ng tao ba na baka may sabihin. Samantalang ako binansagan niyong boba boba. Pero never ko na-experience ma-scamm” she said. “Eh sa harap harap ko pa nga mga na-scam sila mga matatalino. Ako lang yung nag-iisang hindi na-i-scam. Kasi segurista ako eh. Mukha akong pera eh. Kaya sabi ko, ‘Bakit kaya ang tatalino niyo pero naloloko kayo?’”

In a recent interview with PUSH BETS, the sexy comedienne shared that after focusing on herself for many years, this is her time to start building a legacy for her two children.

“Yung materyal na bagay, parang nadadaanan ko na ‘yan eh. Happiness, diyos ko, tinodo ko na. Yung gabi-gabi bar, gabi-gabi inom. Ang dami kong lalaki, siyempre nakita naman nila mga natikman ni Keanna. Sanay na ako diyan. So wala na akong ibang hahanapin,” she said, looking back at what kept her busy in the past.

Keanns explained that she wanted to be more, not for herself but for her children.

“Kaya nga ako nag-ne-negosyo kasi nga, iniisip ko, baka anak ko na ang mag-judge sa akin na walang kakwenta-kwentang nanay dahil nawala na lang ako sa mundo na wala lang. To prove lang na hindi ako masamang ina, na hindi ako masama na nabuhay sa mundo na I’m not worth it. Kaya ako nagsisipag para maayos ko lahat ng negosyo. So para pag may maipundar ako, kunwari itong unit na ito, madadagdagan pa ito,” she said. “Hindi naman ito para sa akin, para naman ito sa kanila. At least para ma-prove ko sa kanila na hindi naman ako nagpabaya na nanay. ‘Yun lang ‘yung hinahangad ko kasi nasubukan ko na lahat nung sarap buhay. Hindi naman ako materialistic na tao. Kuntento na talaga ako sa kung anong meron ako.”
