After working together on projects like Linlang and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim, actress Kim Chiu revealed how much she is learning from her co-star Paulo Avelino who is just two years older than her.

“Si Pau pag makatrabaho mo siya ang dami mong matututunan. Iba yung atake niya in every project. Sa Linlang sobrang serious niya, hindi mo siya makausap. Sa What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim naging funny siya. Ngayon, super funny na siya. Yung nag dami na niyang comedic timing. Iba. Siyempre nakakakaba din pag nakakatrabaho mo lagi yung tao and hindi mo alam kung ano yung susunod mong ma-i-o-offer as a screen partner,” she shared during the My Love Will Make You Disappear media day held last February 19 inside the ABS-CBN compound.

The 34-year-old actress admitted that she is constantly trying to better her craft whenever she is paired with Paulo in each new project.

“Parang there’s always something new pag nakatrabaho mo ang isang Paulo Avelino. Kasi very dedicated siya so mahihiya ka kung hindi mo iibahin. Kasi nag-iba siya eh. Yung iba yung atake niya. Kasi parang na-pu-push ka to be a better actor kapag katrabaho mo siya. Adjust acting tayo. Lumevel tayo sa isang Paulo Avelino. Adjust na adjust na nga eh (laughs),” she added.

Having both been the product of popular reality shows from different networks while in their teens, Kim said she never expected to be paired with her current leading man even after he transferred to the Kapamilya network in 2011.

After making two shows together, the My love Will Make You Disappear star said that there is definitely pressure to bring their love team to the big screen for the first time this year.

“Siyempre nakaka-pressure kasi yung ginawa namin sa streaming platforms lang siya and this time medyo mahirap kasi manunuod ng sine eh, kailangan mo papuntahin yung mga tao, kailangan mong gumastos sila ng pamasahe. Ang laki ng gagastusin para manuod ng pelikula kaya sobrang kinakabahan of course and sobrang nanginginig na sana, 'Lord suportahan siya ng mga tao.' Kaya tinodo na talaga namin sa movie para pag nanuod sila, sasabihin nila worth it, worth it panuorin ang My Love Will Make You Disappear,” she explained.

Kim also gave props to their director Chad Vidanes who is making his film directorial debut in Star Cinema’s latest rom-com.

“Ang galing talaga ni Direk. First movie ito actually ni direk Chad. First movie namin ni Pau. First movie ni direk Chad. A lot of firsts. Tapos halos kaming lahat first time namin magkakatrabaho kaya Lord, ibigay niyo na sa amin ito. Sana maraming manuod talaga,” she added.
