MANILA — Months may have passed but the death of Aegis' member Mercy Sunot still lingers in the hearts and minds of the remaining members of the iconic OPM rock band.
During their Valentine concert last Saturday, February 1, at the New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City, Aegis found themselves emotional while belting their mega-hits like "Halik", "Ulan" and more.

When the band performed "Luha," a life-size video of Mercy was projected on the LED screen in between vocalists Juliet and Ken.

The two were caught off guard seeing and singing along with their sister. Halfway through the song, their emotions made them struggle to finish.

Speaking to ABS-CBN News after their meet and greet session with fans, Juliet revealed that they were not aware and weren't informed about the projected video of their sister.

Juliet said, "Hindi po nila sinabi, kanina po (sa rehearsals) wala po si Mercy kaya nagulat po kami na nasa gitna po siya. Kaya napaiyak po (kami) hanggang ngayon po, naiiyak pa rin kami."

"Ang nagpapalakas po sa amin ay yung mga fans talaga, kahit malungkot kami pero nandiyan po sila, parang yun po ang nagpapalakas sa amin na ituloy pa rin po yung concert namin," said Juliet.

Two surprise guests added star power to their "Halik sa Ulan" concert: Morissette, who sang "Sayang na Sayang" with the band, and Concert King Martin Nievera, who rendered a medley of his hits like "Be My Lady."

"Masarap po sa pakiramdam naming lahat, kasi sila talaga 'yung iniidolo namin. Nung marinig po namin 'yung sinabi po nila, para po kaming lumilipad," said Juliet.

The band will be touring the show in the US soon and Juliet mentioned that they want to personally perform and thank those who helped and took care of their sister Mercy during her treatments up to her demise.
