Eugene Domingo and her husband, Danilo Bottoni, shared their advice for couples in long-distance relationships.

In the latest YouTube vlog of Eugene, the couple recounted that they were in a long-distance relationship themselves before getting married in 2016.

Reflecting on their past experience, Danilo admitted that long-distance relationship is challenging, and it is important that your partner feels your love daily.

"You want that your partner can feel your love anytime, every day. And try to always have fun together," he advised.

Danilo also highlighted that it is important to keep each other updated about your day. "We share picture and video of our days to each other," her\ recalled.

Eugene highlighted that making the virtual conversations fun is also vital. "We always enjoyed our call because we talk about many stuff—films, family, our past experiences," she shared.

The actress pointed out that constant communication is also essential. "What's important is the communication, the commitment, and the creativity is there. The effort is there kasi 'pag pinabayaan mo or hindi mo inalagaan or hindi kayo nakahanap ng ways to nurture your relationship, kahit long distance 'yan, magfe-fade," she stated.

In an interview with Karen Davila back in 2023, Eugene shared that she first met Danilo at the Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy in 2014.

Eugene's film Barber's Tales was an entry in the festival at that time. Danilo, on the other hand, was a film critic.

The actress, who was already forty at the time, admitted that she felt that it was already impossible to find a partner, so she was already set on entering a convent. But meeting Danilo changed everything.

"Finding him is really a miracle and the miracle is from God," Eugene remarked.

In the same interview, Danilo described their love story as a gradual process that began in Italy and evolved into long-distance dating on Skype.

"It was a slow process because we started talking every week on Skype for two to three hours I think and then we met again in Italy just the two of us in a very nice place in the place where my mother lives," Danilo said.

Danilo also proposed to Eugene via Skype.
