Alec Corpuz, ABS-CBN News/FileMovie legend and "Ultimate Kontrabida" Celia Rodriguez is excited to make her primetime TV comeback via "FPJ's Batang Quiapo." She will be part of a strong lineup of actors that will be shaking the life of Tanggol in the top-rating action drama series.

The veteran actress confessed that she was surprised when she received the invitation to be part of the show.

“It is a challenge, kasi when it came I really wanted to retire na, pero ayaw siguro ng Panginoon, I’ll help you. Bawal muna mag-retire,” Rodriguez said.

Aside from the experience to work with other actors, Rodriguez was more captured by the goodness of Martin, as a producer, to invite senior stars to be part of his show.

"I’ve always been touched with Coco. Not as an actor but as a person, helping people. Kaya kanina, gusto kong maiyak. At a young age, but why not na lang enjoy go to Europe, bili ng kung ano-ano. But look at him, he’s helping people. I said, 'My God. It’s truly amazing for a man to enjoy helping people.' Bihira 'yong ganun especially nowadays.”

For Rodriguez, Martin is God-given gift to the industry.

“He continues to do for other people, to help people, 'yung mga above 60 ganun ba. Sabi nila bakit malakas 'yung 'Batang Quiapo,' samantalang puro gurang naman ang mga artista. Sabi ko bakit, porke't ba gurang is that a detriment for a show to be successful?” Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez had her first day of taping last February 17 and the first scene was already pretty intense. The iconic kontrabida promises an entertaining new chapter of "Batang Quiapo."

“Sabi ko kay Coco, I hope I can be able to fulfill expectations,” she said.
