The Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) organization took to social media to congratulate one of its former candidates, Dia Mate, after winning the Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 crown.

Mate competed in MUPH last year, representing her hometown of Cavite.

Months later, Mate gave pageantry another shot via Miss World Philippines, where she won the opportunity to represent the country in the Latina-dominated Reina Hispanoamericana competition -- which she eventually won.

With her win, she made history as the Philippines' second Reina Hispanoamericana titleholder, after Winwyn Marquez in 2017.
