Actress Ashley Ortega just confirmed her special relationship with Mavy Legaspi. In an interview with the King of Talk Boy Abunda earlier this week, the Kapuso star shared how happy they are in their relationship.

Ashley and Mavy were rumored to be a couple after being spotted by several fans in Cebu last January for the Sinulog Festival.

The Kapuso star shared that she already knew Mavy several years back but only had the opportunity to get closer last year. She clarified that they became closer after his relationship with Kyline Alcantara ended. 

“There was this one night kasama mga friends namin–– dun ko siya nakilala. Then, nagtutuloy na. He asked me out if we can have lunch or dinner together just to get to know more about each other and then nag tuloy tuloy na,” she shared.

Ashley added how Mavy is “thoughtful and generous” which confirms her opinion about him being a well-mannered guy. 

“Actually, Mavy’s really thoughtful and he’s also generous. Hindi naman kasi ako magrandeng tao na kailangan ng mga surprises [or] flowers whatsoever,” she added.

When asked by Boy about a misconception about Mavy prior to dating him, the Pulang Araw star admitted that she thought he wouldn’t match her maturity due to their age gap of three years.

“I thought before hindi niya mamatch yung maturity ko. He’s younger than me. He’s three years younger than me. But he’s actually mature parang in our relationship ako yung pabebe girl. He takes care of me. Ayun yung napatunayan niya when we were going out,” she said.

Despite confirming their relationship status to the public, Ashley wanted to keep it private when they first began dating. 

She then revealed that Mavy took her already to meet his parents, Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi. She expressed how “very welcoming” the family was to her as she was invited for dinner during the holidays last year.

“When me and Mavy were hanging out na, Mavy introduced me to them and last December they invited me for a Christmas dinner so they’re very welcoming. Mababait po sila and Cassy also,” she recalled.

Meanwhile, Ashley confirmed that she is on good terms with Kyline and there is no bad blood between them. The two Kapuso stars work together in the Sunday musical variety show All Out Sundays.

“We’re okay, nag hi hello kami. We’re good naman–– no beef,” she confirmed.
