<p>After going public with her relationship with Philippine national athlete Dean Michael Roxas earlier this year, singer Geneva Cruz could not be any prouder to play the role of supportive girlfriend as he represents the country again in the ongoing Southeast Asian Games in Thailand. Last December 12, Dean won the gold medal in the Jiu-Jitsu men’s ne-waza 85kg category after defeating Ee Aacus Hou Yu of Singapore. </p><div><br/></div><p>In her Instagram post, Geneva paid tribute to her partner, who was already a gold medalist during the 2019 SEA Games. She wrote, “My patriotic Filipina heart is overflowing with pride! 🇵🇭 Mahal, you represented our country with so much strength and grace. I don’t know anyone more deserving of this gold because I know how hard you’ve worked. I think I sweated more just waiting for your turn than all the time you were on the mats competing. 😅 Beast mode-Dean!!! No one can bring a good man down. A true champion’s strength comes not just from skill but from hard work and heart as well. 🤍 I am incredibly proud of you. You did us proud, Mr. Roxas. I can’t wait to hug you!
