<p>Happy to be capping off her seventh year in showbiz as part of the cast of the Metro Manila Film Festival entry <em>Shake, Rattle, &amp; Roll: Evil Origins</em>, actress Karina Bautista talked to <strong>PUSH ABS-CBN</strong> about her affinity for doing scary roles and why she would love to get the chance to do more horror in the future.</p><p>“Sabi nga nila, it was two years in the making ito so I’m super in awe na napili nila ako. Siyempre kasi yung weight na sinasabi nila, kung gaano kabigat itong proyekto ay pinagkatiwala nila sa akin and if you watch the movie this Christmas, malalaman niyo kung bakit sobra akong grateful. In the past, I already played a killer in MMK so this time, after I watched the trailer of the first episode (in the trilogy) so gusto ko ma-try maging nun. I feel like kasi super holy siya pero may pagka-creepy. Now, I’m saving for a house, para sa family ko, para kay mama. Every goal I saved for back then, every sacrifice I made, every party I missed, brought me closer to the life I want today,” she shared. </p><p>After the event, the 23-year-old Star Magic artist revealed that she got herself an early Christmas gift this year in a form of a 4x4 off-road SUV. &quot;Siguro the best Christmas gift na binigay ko para sa sarili ko is my car. Hindi ko pa siya na-ri-reveal, so first time ko masasabi dito. It’s second hand but it’s a Jimny. It’s forest green, yung iconic nila na Jimney design. I’m not super magaling yet sa driving. So still practicing pa rin ako. So pagka-send ko ng payment, parang wow, I really bought this for myself. You know you don’t want to compare pero I think all our tasks were super hirap before (laughs). Grabe parang physical-an talaga. Kuya, parag kinawawa mo talaga kami (laughs). Pero I think it’s all part of the journey and parang looking back, parang memories talaga siya. Parang it’s fun to talk about and to kuwento with other people. And if I were to do it now, I don’t know, siguro mas okay kasi mas buo na yung personality ko.
