Mark Herras on his showbiz journey: 'Contented ako sa narating ko'

<p>Mark Herras opened up about his journey as a first-time entrepreneur. The actor is now a franchise owner of a meat shop.</p><p>&quot;Meron po akong isang pwesto ng Farmer&#x27;s Meat Shop... Ako po ay nag-invest ng amount na ganito at naging partner po ako ng Farmer&#x27;s Meat Shop,&quot; he said in an interview with Karen Davila on <em>DTI: Asenso Pilipino.</em></p><p>Mark admitted that starting out in the business was not easy, but he dedicated himself to learning the ins and outs of running a meat shop.</p><p>&quot;As in inaalam ko pa kung papano bang lalapit sa mga tao, &#x27;yung mga presyo, iba-iba &#x27;yung presyo niyan so talagang inaalam ko every detail. Kumbaga parang akong nag-aaral ulit, which is maganda kasi po para kung talagang seryoso ako sa ginagawa, kailangan aralin ko talaga like ko from basic,&quot; he said.</p><p>The actor also remarked that he takes pride in his business as it allows him to support his family.</p><p>&quot;Ito kasi parang kaya siya mahalaga sa akin kasi ito &#x27;yung bubuhay sa pamilya ko. Despite acknowledging that he did not maintain a consistent career in showbiz, Mark expressed that he has no regrets and remains grateful for what the industry gave him.</p><p>&quot;Sa showbiz kasi parang sinasabi nila, &#x27;Laos na &#x27;yan, nalalaos ka na,&#x27; ganun, &#x27;Hindi ka kasi nagi-improve.&#x27; Ako kasi I am very thankful and contented ako dun sa narating ko, like sa <em>StartStruck </em>(reality competition)<em></em>, kumbaga peak ng career. Hindi ko naman hinahangad na habang-buhay akong nasa taas. Medyo mahirap din &#x27;yung buhay na ganun sa showbiz,&quot; he remarked.</p><p>&quot;But I am really thankful for everything na nagawa sa akin ng GMA, and na-provide sa akin, na hindi ko siya tinitingnan na parang failure. Kumbaga kung marami man na umangat na sa akin, I am happy for them. Mga kaibigan ko rin naman mga &#x27;yan. Basta ako kontento ako sa narating ko,&quot; he added.</p>
