Recording artist and actress Mica Javier and her family just opened the first international branch of their chicken brand earlier this week. Mica’s husband, Jay R, took to his Instagram to share the historic moment for his wife and her family.

Mica’s family owns Andok’s, a chicken brand famous in the country and has been in the business for several decades already.

“Andok’s has officially landed in Singapore—their very first international branch,” Jay R wrote.

The whole family of Mica was present in Singapore for the opening where they also saw several advertisements of their business up on the streets of the Southeast Asian country already.

“Congratulations on this exciting milestone and your bold step toward conquering the global stage. Mabuhay ang Pinoy cuisine! 🇵🇭 It was an absolute honor to witness the soft opening and blessing,” Jay R added.

The Filipino-owned chicken brand in Singapore is located at the Lucky Plaza Orchard Road which has heavy foot traffic as it is considered one of most successful shopping centers of the country.

“Here’s to sharing the delicious flavors of the Philippines with the world,” Jay R ended.

Friends and fans of Mica and Jay R sent their congratulatory messages in the comment section. Some netizens who are living in Singapore expressed how excited they are to have a familiar taste so close to them.

“Thank you for opening Andok’s, most loved chicken of the 🇵🇭 in our country! 👏 💪🏼 It’s been a long time coming,” another fan added.

Meanwhile, Mica expressed on her personal account how happy she was with how far their families’ business has come.

“When I was born, my mom & dad started a simple rotisserie chicken shop from nothing, so that they could afford to buy milk for their little baby (me) & their growing family. It was called Andok’s (after my dad’s dad, lolo Andok),” she wrote.

“Andok’s has grown & transformed tremendously since then, and one of my dad’s dreams was to open a store abroad. I’m so happy and proud to see this dream come to life, with our very first international outlet in the middle of Lucky Plaza, in Singapore,” she added.

Mica is positive that their first international branch will lead to more in the future, across several continents.
