Mandy Moore

A Walk to Remember star Mandy Moore shared her family’s experience evacuating their home in Altadena due to the ongoing wildfire.

On Instagram, Mandy posted clips showing thick smoke covering the city and buildings on fire as they drove through the area.

“I love you, Altadena. Grateful for my family and pets getting out last night before it was too late (and endless gratitude to friends for taking us in and bringing us clothes and blankets). Honestly, I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family,” the actress and singer said.

Mandy also revealed the damage to places her family cherished.

“My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too. Our community is broken but we will be here to rebuild together,” she added.

She ended with a message of gratitude for first responders, saying, “Sending love to all affected and on the front lines trying to get this under control.”

Jamie Lee Curtis

Freaky Friday star Jamie Lee Curtis encouraged people to be careful when sharing information about the ongoing wildfire.

“There are so many conflicting reports. With all the technology there seems to be very little information. PLEASE POST FACTS! IT WILL HELP THOSE WONDERING!” she urged, revealing that her family is safe.

“It is a terrifying situation and I'm grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze. Neighbors have taken care of neighbors. We ALL take everything for granted because we are all living our lives but when it hits your community, it's particularly shocking,” she added.

Jamie then shared that while their home was safe, their neighborhood was devastated.

“Our beloved neighborhood is gone. Our home is safe. So many others have lost everything. Help where you can. Thank you to the first responders and firefighters,” she said in another post.

She also reflected on the loss of important local buildings: “This is the church in the Palisades that had a beautiful Sunday school and school and was a gorgeous house of worship and is the building that I got sober in 25 years ago."

"I think of all of the souls who came there for comfort and solace and all the baptisms and funerals and weddings and the thousands of people who reclaimed their lives through Sobriety. Also, the women's club in the Palisades where I met many sober people. Both are gone. Tough times. We will persevere. God bless you all.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt’s home was also caught in the wildfire as the destruction on Palisades worsened due to strong winds.

On her Instagram page, the actress got emotional sharing how she felt.

Actor Josh Gad, who is also known as the voice of Olaf in Frozen, was in disbelief seeing the destruction of his hometown for the past two decades.

“I have lived in Los Angeles for close to 20 years and I have never seen anything near the devastation we are witnessing right now. So many of my friends have lost their homes. So many firefighters are putting their lives on the line right now along with emergency services and every time they suppress one fire another one pops up,” Josh wrote on his Instagram page.

Josh described the situation as “a catastrophic event of apocalyptic proportions” and urged his followers to donate to the LAFD Foundation.

American songwriter Diane Warren shared on Instagram the last photo she took of her beach house before it was destroyed by the wildfire.

“This is the last pic I took of Leah's rock from my beach house. I've had this house for almost 30 years. It looks like it was lost in the fire last night,” she said.

Despite the loss, the "I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing" songwriter remained hopeful.

“There's a rainbow shining on it which I'm taking as a sign of hope for all creatures who have been affected by this tragedy. The animals and the rescue ranch are OK tho which is the most important thing. Stay safe everyone.❤️💔,” she added.
