Three years after making his acting debut in DonBelle’s Star Cinema film Love is Color Blind, 23-year-old TikTok star Esnyr Ranollo said he will always feel grateful and blessed to be included in their projects, most recently in their latest series How to Spot A Red Flag.

“It’s always an honor working with them. Na-realize ko na yung pinaka una kong movie is with them and right now pinaka first series ko is always with them kaya parang first ko pa rin and of course I’m super grateful to have worked with them together with these veteran actors and actresses. Kahit ako yung dino-dogshow nila sa set (laughs). Sobrang honored ko nga top one pa nga eh,” he shared.

In the Viu Original romantic comedy series, Esnyr plays a role that is not unlike his usual onscreen persona.

“Dito I’m that friend na very bubbly, bestie, and sulsol sa best friend no matter what (laughs)!” he said.

The talented content creator-turned-actor recalled how challenging their taping schedule way for How to Spot a Red Flag because it was done when more than one tropical storm was in the country.

“Yan yung (taping) cycle na signal one, signal two na typhoon. Safe naman kami and the shoot must go on,” he added.

The series revolves around the story of a spunky barista named Cha (played by Belle Mariano) who eventually gets put in a situation where she gets torn between choosing from two men in her life - a confident bad boy (Jameson Blake) and a charming good boy (Donny Pangilinan).

When it comes to real-life advice as a bestie, Esnyr also shared what he thinks is the best move to find love.

“You don’t find love, you let love find you. I believe na you don’t rush things kagaya ng mga na-experience ko at ng mga friends ko na parang na-pi-peer pressure. Wala pa ako ka-experience, malapit na (laughs). Don’t rush things and you focus on yourself kasi if you learn to love yourself, you are lovable!” he said.
