Bangs Garcia and her Filipino-British husband, Lloyd Birchmore, are celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary.

On her social media page, the former actress shared loving photos of herself and Lloyd as she recalled their journey in the past decade.

“Reflecting on my journey with Lloyd, I’m overjoyed to say we’re stronger than ever!✨ We’ve learned to embrace each other’s differences with respect, compromise, trust, forgiveness, and friendship—the keys that open our hearts to falling in love over and over again. 😍,” Bangs said.

She also recalled advice about maintaining friendship in marriage that has guided her throughout the years. 

“8 years ago, I shared a quotation that still resonates deeply with me: ‘It’s not a lack of love but a lack of friendship that makes unhappy marriages.’ I followed it with advice I still strongly stand by today: Never stop laughing with your partner; aspire towards comedy, not drama,” Bangs shared.

Bangs reflected on criticism she received, sharing, “At the time, I faced criticism from a Filipino nurse who dismissed my words, saying it was too early in my marriage to share such thoughts. Despite her appalling and relentless attacks for weeks, I remained steadfast, believing that the strength of a relationship is not solely defined by its length but by the lessons learned and shared.”

Bangs also shared her realizations that every couple has a different and unique journey.

“Every couple’s journey is unique, and each one has valuable insights to offer, no matter how long they’ve been together. Let’s stop the negativity. If you can’t offer something genuinely constructive, consider keeping it private or sharing with kindness through a direct message. Mantras are personal, and no one has the right to rule how others live their lives,” she added.

Bangs ended her post with a message to her husband.

“Baby @lloydiboi24, I love you more than words can express. I’m endlessly grateful for your love, patience, and care, even during my most irksome days. 🤪,” the former actress expressed.

“Most importantly, we entrust everything to God, grounding our faith with good deeds.❤️ Here’s to continuing our journey together with love and laughter along with our stunning daughters. Happy Anniversaries!!!🥰,” she continued.

On her Instagram stories, Bangs also shared throwback photos and trivia including some from their first meeting in Boracay, their first date in Tagaytay, and photos from their three wedding ceremonies.

“Literally taken the 1st night we met in Boracay, Philippines a decade ago,” Bangs shared.

Bangs also recalled how Lloyd proposed to her a year after they met, after she had dreamed of three different proposal scenarios.

“He bought a ring, 7 months after officially dating and proposed to me a year after we met,” Bangs wrote.

She added, ”Trivia: I had 3 different dreams of Lloyd proposing to me in 3 different ways months before he proposed. Ist one was in a random place I can't remember but the stone was in GREEN colour, 2nd one was on a speed boat, 3rd one was in front of an unknown crowd with white sand Little did I know that it was a premonition-fast forward, we also had 3 weddings.”

Bangs and Lloyd had a civil ceremony in the UK in 2016, a secret church wedding, and a beach ceremony in Boracay in 2017. The couple has two daughters, Amelia and Isabella.

In June 2024, Bangs announced that she has finally become a British citizen, seven years after their marriage.

“A year late, but I’m glad I finally had time to sort out my citizenship this year. I’ve just pledged allegiance to King Charles III and the United Kingdom earlier. Therefore, I’m officially a British citizen today,” she wrote in a caption.
