“Yung experience namin ni Francine sa pelikula nakakapagod pero hindi namin ramdam yung pagod kasi lahat naging worth it. Hindi namin ineexpect yung pelikula,” Seth shared.

“Bago dumating ang My Future You, lagi na kami magkausap ni Francine kung ano na yung susunod na proyekto na gagawin namin. Lagi kami magkausap kung anong gagawin namin. Maraming hindi natuloy. Naiintindihan naman namin iyon pero it doesn’t mean na mawawalan kami ng pag-asa ni Francine,” Seth admitted.

“Talagang naghintay kami hanggang dumating yung My Future You. Habang nagshoshoot namin ito, sinabi talaga namin na dito kami makikita ng tao. Kahit iilan ang makanood, dito pa rin tayo makikita ng tao. Sabi namin magiging portfolio namin ito para sa karera namin,” Seth said.

“Nagwork yung team namin. Nagwork yung pagtatrabaho naming dalawa atsaka sobra niya akong tinulungan. Sobrang concern niya sa damit ko, sa itsura ko. Talagang nagtulungan kami. Hindi namin ginawa itong pelikula dahil trabaho lang namin. Talagang isinapuso namin itong pelikula,” he added.

My Future You, produced by Regal Entertainment, was one of the official entries for the MMFF’s 50th edition. This film marked Seth and Francine’s first time as lead actors in a movie and their first time joining MMFF.

“Noong inaannounce na pang-MMFF kami, ayon agad yung pumasok sa isip ko na ‘Ay dadating ang kapaskuhan na pagpipiliin yung pelikula namin’,” Seth shared.

Seth was also impressed by the caliber of actors he was surrounded with in the festival.

“Nagulat ako sa mga tao. Yung line up ng MMFF, lahat po ng entries yung sampung pelikula namin, ang gaganda atsaka ang gagaling po ng mga kasabayan namin na mga senior actors at mga magagaling na mga aktor at aktres, ang dami,” he continued.

Seth’s debut in the festival was extra special as he won the Breakthrough Performance Award and was nominated for Best Actor at the Gabi ng Parangal. However, receiving such recognition brought a sense of pressure for him.

“Sa totoo lang, yung nakuha kong award, sobrang napakalaking bagay at nakakatakot dahil dapat sa susunod na hindi na lang Breakthrough. Napressure po ako kasi may mga nabasa akong comments,” Seth shared.
