After taking a break from doing teleseryes for almost three years, actress Jennylyn Mercado said she is excited to get back to doing more acting this year, especially with a new big screen project she will be doing with her husband Dennis Trillo. “Naku malapit na. Tapos may pelikula rin kami na gagawin, Everything About My Wife,” she shared.

Off camera, Jennylyn has also been busy as president of Brightburn Entertainment, the production studio she started with Dennis that was launched early last year.

Parang siya,” she said, referring to their decision to cast Dennis in Brightburn’s first movie project Green Bones which earned him the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival Best Actor award.

Used to wearing different hats, Jennylyn said she also enjoys her non-showbiz ventures which includes managing the day to day operations of her salon DYLN Style Lounge as well as plans to expand the business into selling their own beauty product line in the near future. As a boss, Jennylyn admits she is very strict with her employees.

“Siyempre pag business hindi puwedeng masyadong maluwag. Nasa tama lang. Tough love, ganun.

Even though she is already working closely with her husband on their production company, Jennylyn Was also proud to share how much Dennis helps with her enterpreneurial decisions as well.

When they aren’t busy with showbiz commitments, the couple also enjoys several treatments in the salon. Dito ako nagpapa-hair color at saka hair cut. Nails, ganyan, arte arte (laughs),” she shared.
