MANILA -- Actor Seth Fedelin candidly shared the pressure he felt after winning the Breakthrough Performance award at the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

During a recent interview following Star Magic’s Spotlight event, the young actor admitted that his speech was unplanned but heartfelt.

“Hindi ko nga alam kung tama ba 'yung sinabi ko sa stage as in sobrang impromptu ng speech kong ‘yun. Pero at the end of the day, pag-uwi ko sa bahay bago ako matulog, sobrang gaan sa pakiramdam, sobrang worth it,” he said.

Despite the pressure of living up to expectations, Fedelin expressed gratitude for the recognition, which he views as motivation to further hone his craft.

While he has gained attention for his heartfelt portrayal in the movie “My Future You,” he revealed a desire to expand his horizons and try action in the future.

“Gusto ko ng drama pero gusto ko din masubukan ang bad boy. Gusto ko masubukan ang action pero paunti-unti, gusto ko pag-aralan ang action. Bida na action. Kadalasan kasi nagagawa ko mabait, anak ng ganyan. Gusto ko maranasan ‘yung challenge na paano ako maginoo pero ano kaya itsura ko pag dinagdagan ng angas yung isang character,” he explained.

Currently, Fedelin is gearing up for his latest project, the teleserye “Nobody,” where he will share the screen with actor Gerald Anderson and his onscreen partner Francine Diaz.

When asked about his partnership with Diaz, Fedelin expressed confidence in their professional dynamics, even hinting at potential solo projects in the future.

“Unang-una, nag-focus ako sa music, so yes, alam ko susuportahan niya ako, susuportahan ako ni Francine, at alam kong susuportahan ko din siya. Tagumpay ko, alam ko matutuwa siya,” he said.

For now, Fedelin is thrilled to work with Diaz in “Nobody,” where their chemistry is expected to shine once again.
