Celebrity couple Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto have broken up after more than seven years of dating. The Kapuso actress took to her Instagram account earlier this evening, January 2, to pen a goodbye message to her ex-boyfriend. 

Barbie and Jak have been together for more than seven years and were considered as one of the power couples in the showbiz industry.

The Kapuso actress shared that the past seven years of her life with Jak has been nothing but great. 

“Having you in my life was the happiest I had ever been. Seven wonderful years. A lot of laughs, a lot of ramen and so much love,” she wrote.

She didn’t disclose the reason for their separation but maintained it was a “beautiful goodbye” for the both of them. 

“Your love was exceptional.

But sometimes, good things fall apart so better things can come together.

Beautiful goodbye, @jakroberto,” she added.

Barbie asked their fans and netizens to understand their situation and put an end to the issue.  

“Thank you for loving me the way you did. I am excited for what's to come for the both of us. You take care of yourself. May you find the love you deserve,” she shared.

“I hope for everyone's understanding and I wish you can help us put this matter to rest,” she ended. 

Barbie removed the comment section of her breakup post but it has already received thousands of likes. 

Meanwhile, Jak has yet to address the issue on his personal account as of this writing. 

Previously, the couple denied rumors circulating on social media about their separation. Barbie previously maintained that her relationship with fellow actor David Licauco was pure business and nothing further. 

“Hindi naman po kasi magkaibigan po sila ni David and kami ni David malinaw sa aming dalawa na this is a business partnership,” she previously clarified.
