Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 Big Winner Fyang Smith recently opened up about her childhood, family life, and personal experiences in an exclusive interview with PUSH Bets.

The young star proudly embraced her roots, sharing how she grew up as a “certified probinsyana” in Laguna.

“I’m a very probinsyana type of girl po talaga. Born and raised po sa Laguna po talaga so my hometown is Laguna,” Fyang expressed.

She fondly recalled her simple childhood, which was filled with street games and outdoor adventures.

“Childhood ko po is very simple lang talaga as in kung paano maglaro yung mga bata sa kalsada. Kung ano yung mga uso before like jolens, pogs, and everything ganoon lang po yung childhood ko. Sometimes kapag hapon na, automatic, aakyat po ako ng puno,” Fyang revealed.

“Yung childhood ko very memorable siya sa akin kasi sobrang simple lang, sobrang simpleng tao ko lang. Kung ano yung mga ginagawa ng mga bata, ginagawa ko rin, laro-laro lang talaga. Very simple lang,” she added.

Fyang also shared a special “secret,” saying, “Actually po, mother po ako sa Chinese garter… Sobrang probinsyana ko po talaga.”

Despite the fun and games, Fyang also experienced hardship at a young age. She revealed how her family struggled to make ends meet during tough times.

“Before po, although nagpapadala po iying Daddy ko that time, yung ginagawa po ng Mommy ko, basically sinansangla and then tutubusin,”Fyang explained, recalling the challenges her family faced.

“Kapag wala po talaga, since probinsya nga po, marami namang tanim tanim sa paligid na gulay ayon po nasurvive po namin yung time na iyon,” Fyang added. “Asin, toyo and everything po, naranasan po talaga.”

“I can take a bullet for my family,” Fyang said. “Kahit simpleng way lang ng pagtulong, ginagawa ko.”

Fyang used those early struggles as motivation to help her family. She found a way to contribute by pursuing a career in content creation.

Before joining Pinoy Big Brother, Fyang had already established herself as a social media personality. She shared that it was out of boredom during the COVID-19 pandemic that sparked her interest in content creation.

“Ang pagiging content creator ko po before, bored lang po talaga ako. I think that was pandemic days po. Wala po akong ginagawa sa bahay so why not try ko. And ayun po nagtuloy tuloy,” she said.

Although Fyang has managed to overcome many challenges in life, she admitted that romantic relationships have been a struggle. She reflected on her past heartbreaks and what she learned from them.

“Hindi ko po alam. Talagang lahat sila, talagang nagcheat sa akin. I don’t know why. Siguro may hinahanap sila sa akin, na hindi talaga. Bakit niyo ba ako sinimulan?” Fyang exclaimed.

Ayon ‘yung hindi ko magets sa ibang lalaki na bakit pa kayo pumapasok kayo sa buhay ng isang babae kung hindi niyo kayang panindigan. Anong sense? Pumasok lang ba kayo sa buhay ng isang babae para sirain yung buhay niya? I don’t get why bakit kailangan pumasok sa buhay ng isang payapang buhay para magcheat?” she added.

“Cheating is a choice, not a mistake.”

Despite the heartbreaks, Fyang remains hopeful that love will find her. However, for now, she is focused on her career, particularly acting.

“Hindi naman po ako nagmamadali. Career first po muna… Now po, ang finofocus ko po talaga, pag-acting.”
