Actress and former Miss World Megan Young and her husband, actor Mikael Daez, are expecting their first child.

On her social media page, Megan shared the exciting news with a playful video inspired by the popular video game Super Mario Bros.

“A new beginning for us 🤍,” Megan simply said in the caption before adding her and Mikael’s nickname Bones, Fofo and ‘Baby Daez’.

In the video, the couple introduced themselves as "player one" and "player two," with a box appearing above their heads that revealed "player three." The video ended with the couple showing their child's sonogram, and the caption "Baby Daez 2025."

Megan and Mikael tied the knot in 2020 during an intimate ceremony in Subic Bay. This year, they celebrated their 13th anniversary as a couple.

“Thirteen years so far of growing old together. The past year we've had many wonderful blessings and challenges along the way, but I'm grateful that I always have you by my side," Megan said in a post.

Mikael joked about how long they've been together, saying, “Happy anniversary Boneezy! We've been together so long, we don't know the exact time anymore 😅 You just mentioned 13 years in your post but my number is 14 years. Just go with me as you please.”

In a podcast in 2022, the couple shared that they were open to the idea of having children but were also comfortable with the possibility of not having them.

"If we have kids, then we have kids. And if we don't, then we don't. So if I get pregnant, okay. And if not, then we continue living life," Megan shared.

Megan also reflected on how their views on having children have evolved.

"My mindset then was yeah, it was normal for couples to get married and have kids," Megan recalled. "To be honest, I really enjoy the life that we have together, that it's just us. And I don't know how ready I am to take on a big responsibility like that... I'm not sure yet, but I'm not closing my doors to it.”

She also admitted to her fears about motherhood, saying: “I guess I'm afraid of having complications for myself and for the child if ever we do get pregnant. My number one fear is getting sick or dying, honestly, from having a baby," she said.

Mikael, for his part, emphasized the importance of being prepared in all aspects of life before having children.

“For me, for those feeling a bit of pressure, I think it's okay to really take a step back and look at different points of view and have a real discussion with those who matter—your partner, possibly your family. Because it's a huge change," he stressed.

Mikael also acknowledged that Megan, as the one who will carry the baby, has the final say on their family decisions.

"We're going with the flow and it's really all up to Bonez," he said, referring to Megan. "Because [she's] the baby carrier and I'm here to support," he remarked.
