Singer Sabrina Carpenter and actor Barry Keoghan have called it quits.

As per report by PEOPLE, the two stars have parted ways after almost a year of dating.

"They are both young and career-focused, so they've decided to take a break," a source told PEOPLE.

It was in February when Sabrina and Barry made their first public appearance as a couple at W Magazine's Grammys after-party.

In June, Barry starred in Sabrina's music video for "Please Please Please."

On why she decided to get Barry as her love interest for the music video, Sabrina told CBS Sunday Morning: "I, genuinely — like, a not-even-biased opinion — I was like, 'Who's the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?' And he was next to me in a chair. And he was so excited about it."

The singer also relayed that Barry is also a fan of "Please Please Please" saying, "He likes the song, which is great. He's a fan of the song."

Sabrina also remarked that having Barry star in the music video with her made it more special. "I don’t want to sound biased, but I think he's one of the best actors of this generation," she pointed out in a past interview with Variety. "So getting to see him on the screen with my song as the soundtrack made the video better and all the more special."

Sabrina recently wrapped the North American leg of her blockbuster tour Short N' Sweet.

"I have always dreamt of bringing this tour to life but it was even better than I could have imagined because of every crowd that showed up and gave 100% of their energy and time. Best dressed crowds on the market. Funniest signs I’ve ever seen. Every lyric and background vocal sung to perfection. I could not ask for better fans💞 I love you so so dearly," she posted on her Instagram page following the final leg of the US tour.

She also expressed her gratitude to her crew and team.

"Thank you to my hard working cast and crew that makes this show what it is. The attention to detail, the professionalism, and each and every personality on and off stage is what makes the SNS show so special," she said.

Meanwhile, Barry recently starred in the films Bird and Bring Them Down.
