After initially being paired up together in the 2012 ABS-CBN hit series Princess and I, Enrique Gil admitted he will always be open to working again with his former co-star Kathryn Bernardo.

“I’m not sure about that. I haven’t heard about that. But I’m always open to anything, of course,” he told the press during the red carpet of the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival awards night last December 27.

Even after putting up his own production company, Immerse Entertainment, and becoming a full-fledged film producer this year, Quen clarifies that this move does not mean he is now turning his back on doing love team projects for good.

“I’m not naman saying goodbye. I’m not saying I’m closing my doors. In the meantime, as of now, because I’ve been doing it all my life, I think there’s a time and place for everything. This time, I really want to focus on different genres I’ve never done before. Para masasabi ko, when I get old, at least I was able to do everything. So for now, i’m just really enjoying and playing around with different concepts and characters. I’m just having fun,” he explained.

The 32-year-old Kapamilya star admits he is excited to explore various genres when it comes to both acting and producing in the coming year.

“Wala pa, this is just the beginning. I was able to produce I am Not Big Bird which is a comedy. I’ve always wanted to do comedy, slapstick comedy,” he shared. “And then now, I was able to produce meta-style horror. I still want to produce traditional style horror movie in the future. And I have a concept as well for an action horror.”

The Strange Frequencies star admitted his only wish for him and his company in 2025 is to have more projects to look forward to apart from the ones they are currently working on in collaboration with the Kapamilya network.

“Actually I have one show coming up with ABS-CBN,” he announced. “Co-production. It’s my concept. Ako yung nag-pitch sa ABS-CBN and super natuwa ako na talagang nagustuhan ni tita Cory (Vidanes) and they greenlit the project. TV series co-production ko ito and I’m super excited. We’ll be shooting in Europe next year but more details to follow pa.”
