MANILA — Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey continues to champion meaningful causes as she headlined the 5th Love Yourself Gala, auctioning exclusive memorabilia from her Miss Universe journey. 

Among the items up for bidding is the only replica of her iconic blue gown by designer Albert Andrada, along with dresses, her sash, and even the swimsuit she wore during the 2015 Miss Universe competition.

Proceeds from the auction, open until December 21—the anniversary of Pia’s historic win—will fund the establishment of a Youth Center in Taguig City. This initiative is a collaboration between LoveYourself and the Taguig City Local Government, aiming to provide critical support for HIV/AIDS awareness, mental health services, reproductive health care, and a safe “teenbayan” space for the youth.

Pia, who is set to celebrate her 10th anniversary as Miss Universe next year, shared her passion for the cause during an interview at the gala.


“Tonight is just the beginning of a long road ahead. There’s still so much that needs to be done. Of course, I’m very grateful to everyone who made it to this Love Gala—probably the biggest one we’ve ever had—but this is just a kickoff of many things that we need to do and will do,” she said.

When asked about letting go of her sentimental memorabilia, Pia revealed it was an easy decision.


“These things hold a lot of meaning to me. They’re very sentimental. When I look at the sash, I think about all the years of hard work and sacrifices that went into winning it. But I believe in making something more lasting out of these items. The gowns, the shoes, the accessories—they can all help build something that will outlive them. I feel good about letting go,” she explained.

The gala was not just about advocacy but also a celebration of music. Performances from Jed Madela, Ben&Ben, and Marina Summers lit up the evening, while prominent figures such as First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos graced the event alongside beauty queens and other personalities.

Despite her busy schedule juggling fashion, advocacy, and personal pursuits, Pia considers her involvement with LoveYourself as a respite from her demanding life.
“This is my break and my escape from work. I really do have a lot of love for LoveYourself. Every time I’m with them, I’m not dressed up, I don’t wear a lot of makeup. I’ve grown to be friends with this team, and they know me on a personal level,” she shared.

Pia also opened up about her holiday plans with her husband, Jeremy Jauncey. “We’ll be spending it in the UK. It’s easier for me to go there, and I’ll be with the kids—my niece and nephew. Jeremy and I are also focusing on health and wellness, so we’re planning a wellness retreat,” she said.

When asked about starting her own family, Pia expressed her excitement for the future. “I’d love to have a big family one day. That’s my goal with my husband. We’re both busy with work, but it’s something we’re talking about, and we’ll get there one day,” she said with optimism.
