After doing these projects, the Filipino audience fell in love with his personality, and the Brazilian model became a household name in the Philippines, which he calls home.

“I’m very happy to be here in the Philippines. It’s my home. Matagal na ako rito. Mga 16 years na ako sa Pilipinas. Lahat ng opportunities na nangyari sa buhay ko ay nangyari sa Pilipinas. I’m very thankful. ‘Yung businesses ko, growing din siya,” he shared.

"It's been 10 years since I won 'Pinoy Big Brother.' It was a great journey. It completely transformed my life. I've been in showbiz for 15 years. I'm so privileged to be able to influence others. I am still able to work,” the Brazilian actor added.

Matsunaga went on to thank and praise his "PBB" batchmates, who are also doing well in show business.

“I'm very happy for them. Since we were inside the house, I told them they were going to get it. I knew it from the beginning. They are very talented. I'm grateful that I got to know them when they were younger. We spent over a hundred days together. We are like brothers and sisters. I'm quite pleased with all of their accomplishments,” he expressed.

Does he miss doing teleseryes on the Kapamilya network? He responded: “I do. Sana magkaroon ako ng bagong teleserye na para sa akin. Feeling ko ‘yung role na very important. I’m still waiting for that.”

Giving an update on his current life, the actor-model revealed that he had completed a movie in Dubai with local artists and produced by a Filipino team.

“I finished a movie in Dubai. Filipino production siya sa Dubai. Locals sa Dubai ang kasama. Medyo busy kasi ako sa businesses pero nandito pa rin ako. Most of my gigs now are events sa cities or outside Manila,” he shared with ABS-CBN News.

When asked about his love life, he replied: “Very happy. She’s Brazilian. Almost one year na kami.”

On Saturday night, Matsunaga celebrated his birthday and was introduced as the face of AweSam Smile Dental Clinic by Dr. Sam Bernardo, who admires his sincerity.

“15 years na siya sa showbiz industry and kilala na siya ng mga tao. Magiging helpful siya sa dental education and awareness,” Dr. Bernardo said.
