Melai Cantiveros took a trip down memory lane and recalled her experience attending last year's Asia Artist Awards (AAA), one year since she graced the event. 

On her Instagram page, the Kapamilya comedienne shared the behind-the-scenes of AAA, recounting the many moments she experienced at the awards ceremony.

"This is the Best of all the best one for the books sa buhay ko bilang tao 😍Exactly one year ago," she posted.

Melai then extended her gratitude to PULP Studios and her Ma'am Chief family for paving the way for this opportunity to arrive in her career.

"Buong buhay ko talaga pinagpapaslamat tu kay Inang Reyna of mine/ours @happeehour for this opportunity na di matutubasan talaga ❤️🙏🏻 Salamat Inang Reyna nmin na very generous sa lahat ng bagay and thank you din sa aking favorite direkctor My Madam @kringkim na mag BFF sila ni Inang at talagang ka-partner in crime ko din sa kakiat kiat🫡," she said.

The Kapamilya star went on: "Sa aking @pulpstudiosph Family na talagang super love ko and my Maam Chief family grabe ang ating pagmamahalan na binuo na kulang na lang magpapakasal tayu😍🥰 Xmpre kay Lord God Jesus Christ for always and forever [pag-guide] and pagmamahal sa akin at pamilya❤️🙏🏻."

Melai shared that attending the event felt like a K-Drama moment for her.

"Grabe yang experience ko na yan ui, first time ko ulit jan nagka-anxiety kasi parang nasa K-Drama feels ako jan, as-in yung feeling na out of place ako, kahit nasa Pinas ako, kasi talagang parang nasa Korea ako nyan e," she said.

She highlighted that the event opened new doors for her as an artist.

"Dahil jan sa exposure ko na yan nagkaroon ng second wave ang pagkakakilanlan sa akin ng mga tao🥹 Kaya kamsamida Lord, kamsamiiida Inang reyna and Kamsamiida madam❤️🫡😍," she said.

It can be recalled that Melai became a trending topic online following her interview and speech at the AAA 2023.

In her interview with AAA host Jang Won-young, Melai remarked that she felt like gaining a "first honor" attending the event.

"Attending to AAA is a very honor, I feel like I am the first honor, a Valedictorian in attending the AAA," she quipped.

Melai became one of the recipients of the Best Actor award at last year's awards ceremony.

"If someone questions why I won [an] award, don't worry, I question too. I just receive [an] award all of my life from my mother and father every time they are angry to me," she quipped. "But tonight, my heart is very kuan, the best."
