MANILA -- Actor-singer Janno Gibbs on Tuesday marked the first death anniversary of his father, screen and TV veteran Ronaldo Valdez, who passed away in December 2023.

In a social media post, Gibbs uploaded a throwback photo of him with his father as he shared his short but heartwarming message for Valdez.

"To dance w/ my father again. Its been a year. Still missing you," he captioned his Instagram post.

Meanwhile, Gibbs's sister Melissa also shared her message for her father on Instagram.

"'In loving memory of a father who will forever hold a special place in our hearts. One year may have passed, but your love remains with us.' I miss you so much papa but i know you are now reunited with our creator and savior," Melissa wrote.

Valdez died last year at 77 after an on-screen career spanning nearly six decades.

His last project was on ABS-CBN's "2 Good 2 Be True," where his portrayal of Lolo Sir endeared him to younger audiences.

His list of films include "May Minamahal," "The Mistress," and "Seven Sundays."
