"I love Hannah Montana because I would never be Miley without her."

These were the words of Miley Cyrus as she reflected on how she felt playing the iconic Disney character and performing the character's music when she was younger.

"I loved being Hannah Montana. The relationship that Hannah Montana had with the fans and that I have with the fans too with that character is what created this unbreakable, very unique bond," she remarked in an interview with Spotify.

On her favorite song from her Hannah Montana era, Miley relayed that she likes the song "This Is The Life."

"Those lyrics stayed true this entire time. I still feel like every day is a dream and the fans and their loyalty create this reality for me daily," she remarked.

"There's not a day that goes by that I don't forget to thank all the stars that happened to align perfectly to create this life that I love so much."

Back in August at the D23 fan fest, Miley received the Disney Legend award for her role as Hannah Montana from 2006 to 2011.

"I want to say is that legends get scared, too. I’m scared right now, but the difference is we do it anyway, and all of you can do that every single day. It’s legendary to be afraid and do it anyway. There is no such thing as failure when you try," she remarked in her speech.

Miley dedicated her award to her fans saying: "It’s such an honor to receive this award. My other legends have said it best: It is all because of you, everyone in this room, outside of this room. It’s all about the fans."

The Disney Legend stated that she always takes pride in having played Hannah Montana.

"This award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her amazing, loyal fans, and to everyone who has made my dream a reality. To quote the legend herself, 'This is the life,'" she stated.
