WATCH: Sofronio Vasquez thanks Filipino fans after 'The Voice USA' win

Sofronio Vasquez, the first Asian winner of "The Voice USA," is thankful to all of his supporters, particularly his fellow Filipinos. 

In a clip released by "The Voice," the Filipino singer and his coach, Michael Bublé, can be seen hugging each other after the announcement that he won the 26th edition of the competition.

Bublé told Vasquez to share his message for all his Filipino followers, even encouraging him to speak in Tagalog.

"Maraming-maraming salamat po sa suporta niyo," Vasquez said.

"To my hometown Utica, New York, you guys are the best," he added. "Thank you so much. I can't wait to go home to celebrate and bring the trophy."

On Tuesday night (US time), the 32-year-old singer from Team Bublé won the competition after getting most number of votes.  

He received the grand prize of $100,000 and a recording contract.  

Sofronio rose to fame as one of the "Tawag Ng Tanghalan" contenders on "It's Showtime," where he reached the semifinals.
