“It’s an exciting time. I’m super nervous. What an honor it is to be immortalized and have a wax figure at Madame Tussauds. It’s a dream come true for me and I hope through having this wax figure, I’m able to let all Filipinos know to continue to pursue their biggest dreams. Because if you do dream big, it can happen with hard work and perseverance. I’m so happy and honored. I’m so excited to see how everyone will react when they see the actual wax figure. We made sure that it stays true to who I am. Hindi ako makapaniwala that I was given this opportunity bilang first Filipina actress and TV host to have their wax figure in Madame Tussauds,” Anne shared.

“So this is a Dior dress that I wore to Tiffany in New York and bilang andun din naman si Audrey Hepburn sa Madame Tussauds. I wanted to make sure that just like my idol, I come off as elegant and chic and timeless kasi forever na yan eh. You’re immortalized. I wanted something that would be timeless and elegant which really speaks to how I personally dress. So we went with something that I felt was an iconic look for me. It was first comeback into the fashion industry when I did a trip with my Tiffany family and that’s where we decided to go with this look.

"The microphone, in my 27 years in the industry, I felt that a microphone has been a powerful tool and whether it be hosting, giving a speech as a UNICEF ambassador, doing my spiels as a TV host on Showtime, or even doing concerts at the Araneta Coliseum (laughs), it has been such a powerful tool for me so I felt like this really should be part of my wax figure. It looks like I’m about to conquer the stage which is all about pursuing your biggest dreams and that’s what I wanted to impart with this pose,” she explained.

“I would have to say that when I was approached by Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, I was actually in Hong Kong with my Showtime family. We were going through a very unique experience at that time so we decided to have some time off and we were in Hong Kong celebrating. And at that time I got the message, I felt like the stars aligned, the universe was universe-ing. But aside from that, We have friends in Hong Kong so a lot of core memories were made in Hong Kong just from traveling, eating, seeing attractions, shopping. I know it’s been a longtime running joke of like umuuwi ang ating mga kababayan tuwing birthday ko (laughs) but ngayon you don’t have to worry about coming home for my birthday because you can now visit me at Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong,” she said.

“You know how you have doubts would it be possible for it to look exactly like you? Especially since I feel like my face has so many different aspects. I have moles, I have freckles, my lips, my eyes, my nose, di ba? Yung hairline kuha, yung kilay ko, she added.
