Philippine representative Chelsea Manalo won Best National Costume in this year's Miss Universe pageant.

The Miss Universe Organization announced on Saturday, November 30, that the Filipino beauty queen emerged as the winner following an online poll on social media.

"Proudly representing their homeland! The National Costume is a way for contestants to share their country’s story, traditions, and values with the world," the organization said.

"Based on your votes, we’re proud to announce the top 3 National Costumes! Congratulations to our winner @manalochelsea wearing [Manny Halasan] 💫."

Chelsea was quick to react to the news and congratulated her team for the said feat. "To the team and Sir [Manny] for the creation. Salamat sa lahat ng nag tiwala at nag Vote! Para sa'yo Philippines!" the beauty queen remarked.

Filipino fans online were also quick to congratulate Chelsea for this new achievement.

"2 YEARS IN A ROW! CONGRATULATIONS CHELSEA! CONGRATULATIONS PHILIPPINES!" one fan commented.

Aside from the Best National Costume award, Chelsea was hailed as Miss Universe Asia at this year's edition of the pageant.

As per past report of Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN News, Chelsea will be traveling around Asia and will be joining the Miss Universe on some trips.

"I’m just so happy I get to make it here in Miss Universe. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d get to do so. I used to be just that little girl hoping that one day I’ll be in front of that Universe stage and i did; I did my best," Chelsea said on her journey in Miss Universe.

Meanwhile, Miss Universe Peru was named as Miss Universe Americas, Miss Finland as Miss Universe Europe, and Miss Nigeria as Miss Universe Africa and Oceania.

The coronation night of the Miss Universe was held on November 16 at Arena CDMX in Mexico.

Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark was crowned as Miss Universe 2024.
