After two years of silently carrying the heavy burden, Kapamilya actress and singer Maymay Entrata has finally found some relief after opening up about the personal struggles she’s been enduring—the declining health of the two most important women in her life: her mother and her grandmother, whom she considers her second mom.

Entrata shared that her grandmother, who raised her in Cagayan de Oro, is undergoing dialysis treatment in their province.

Meanwhile, her mother who had been working in Japan to support the family, is now battling cancer.

Sana you help me pray sa dalawa kong nanay,” she shared in an interview held in Quezon City, Friday.

“Dalawa sa nanay ko may pinagdadaanan. Hindi ko masabi-sabi. Kasi una hindi easy to share for me personal stuff. Yung buong ako, buong mararamdaman ko on cam and off cam,” she added.

The “Nasaan Ang Hiling” singer explained that she had been in and out of the spotlight as she had to often fly to Japan and Cagayan de Oro to be by the side of her two “mothers.”

Sobrang hirap. Sabay dalawang nanay ko,” she explained.

While her mother Lorna returned to the Philippines two months ago, her ongoing health challenges have kept Entrata committed to prioritizing spending  time together.”

Everyday tine-take time ko hanggat maaari, andyan ako kasama siya. Tas kagabi lang sinugod namin sa ospital,” she recalled.

Rather than feeling sympathy for her, the Star Magic artist hopes her supporters will send prayers for her “mothers” recoveries.

“Please wag niyo ko kaawaan. Kaya ayaw ko sana share. Pero sana pagdasal niyo kami,” she shared.

According to Entrata, despite becoming independent at just 16 and serving as her family’s breadwinner for nearly a decade,  her hardships have now taught her to become dependent on her faith and to further deepen her trust in God.

Dati di ko matanggap-tanggap,” she said.

We cannot control our doubts and worries. si God controlled lahat, we surrender. Mas naging ok ako,” she added.

Entrata stressed that no matter how difficult her struggles may become moving forward, she will continue fighting— and is just grateful she is able to draw  the strength from her loved ones.

Parang na-design mundo natin may challenges. I choose to fight and be strong not just for me but for family,” she said.

Ayoko may itinatago sa kanila, I communicate in private,” she added.

Entrata is set to star in Happy Star alongside Kelvin Miranda, Andre Miguel, and Zach Castaneda. The mini-series will be streaming on Netflix starting April 24.
