MANILA — OPM duo Leanne Mamonong and Naara Acueza, also known as Leanne & Naara, said Thursday have both decided "to stay in this relationship" amid breakup rumors.

"Dear Leanne & Naara fans, never in a million years did we think it would come to this. But here we are," the duo said in a statement.

"You may have thought that we had finally outgrown chasing this dream, that some sense had been knocked into our heads after being referred to as the 'underrated' duo for almost a decade," they added.

However, they admitted that they are going through a difficult time and promised that they will make music when they are ready.

"We've listened and we understand your concerns. 'Nag break na ba ang Leanne & Naara?' are words that you will never have to utter again. Now, you get to be with us forever, at wala na kayong choice," they said.

"Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. We will make more music when we finally have the strength."

Previous posts of Leanne & Naara stirred speculations online that they have parted ways.
