MANILA  -- International pop superstar Mariah Carey joined her Filipino fans in marking the start of the country's long Christmas season, with establishments once again playing her iconic song, "All I Want For Christmas is You."

In a Facebook post on Saturday, the singer shared a link to her song, followed by an early Christmas greeting.

"Philippines, it's time (only for you!! 😉) I hope you're all safe and well. Let’s celebrate together 🎶🎄" the singer wrote on her social media. 

In 2023, "All I Want For Christmas is You" stayed on top of Billboard Hot 100 music as it drew 48.4 million streams, 31.7 million radio airplay audience impressions, and sold 7,000 downloads based on the U.S. record date from December 15 to 21 of that year by Luminate.

Aside from "All I Want For Christmas is You", holiday hits such as "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree," "Jingle Bell Rock," "Last Christmas," and "A Holly Jolly Christmas" followed Carey's song.
