Photo from Netflix K-content's X accountSouth Korean actresses Jeon So-nee and Lee Yoo-mi are teaming up for a new series, set to be released on Netflix, the streaming platform announced Thursday.

In a post on X, Netflix announced the production of the series with the working title "As You Stood By."

"Two women are driven to the brink, facing an inescapable reality that forces them to consider murder as their only way out," it said of the plot.

Yoo-mi gained recognition for her role as one of the contestants in the critically acclaimed survival series "Squid Game," a performance that earned her the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.

Most recently, Yoo-mi played the titular role in the comedy action series "Strong Girl Nam-soon."

Meanwhile, So-nee starred as the lead actress in Netflix's sci-fi horror series "Parasyte: The Grey."

The main cast also includes Lee Moo-saeng from "The World of the Married" and "Thirty-Nine," and Jang Seung-jo from "Encounter" and "Snowdrop."

Netflix has not given a specific premiere date for the series.
