In a press release, the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) said the festival would run from September 27 to 29 in the following malls: SM Mall of Asia, SM City Baguio, SM Seaside City Cebu and SM City Davao.

With a theme centered on friendship, this year's KFF, titled "Chingu Kita" (meaning "You Are My Friend"), celebrates the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between South Korea and the Philippines.

The festival's lineup includes:

Picnic (2024)

Starring: Na Moon-hee, Kim Young-ok,Park Geun-hyung

Delving into the theme of late-life friendship, "Picnic" follows 80-year-old Eun-sim as she returns to her hometown after 60 years, where she reunites with two childhood friends who never left.

Smugglers (2023)

Starring: Kim Hye-su, Yum Jung-ah, Zo In-sung, Park Jeong-min, Kim Jong-soo, Go Min-si

Fans of Korean cinema have something to look forward to as the 2024 Korean Film Festival is hitting malls across the Philippines later this month.

Set in the 1970s, the action-crime film "Smugglers" tells the story of two haenyeo (female divers) who are drawn into the world of smuggling as a chemical factory threatens their way of life.

Love Reset (2023)

Starring: Kang Ha-neul, Jung So-min

Fans of Korean cinema have something to look forward to as the 2024 Korean Film Festival is hitting malls across the Philippines later this month.

The romantic comedy "Love Reset" follows an unhappily married couple on the verge of divorce. However, 30 days before their separation, a car accident causes them to lose their memories, leading their families to attempt to restore them in order to finalize the divorce.

Our Season (2023)

Starring: Shin Min-a, Kim Hae-sook, Kang Ki-young

Fans of Korean cinema have something to look forward to as the 2024 Korean Film Festival is hitting malls across the Philippines later this month.

In the fantasy drama "Our Season," a deceased mother visits her daughter as part of her "vacation from heaven."

Inseparable Bros (2019)

Starring: Shin Ha-kyun, Lee Kwang-soo, Esom

Fans of Korean cinema have something to look forward to as the 2024 Korean Film Festival is hitting malls across the Philippines later this month.

The comedy drama "Inseparable Bros" depicts two men — one highly intelligent but physically disabled, and the other athletic but not very smart — who support each other through life.

Apart from the film screenings, the KCC will also hold a pocket event, "Meet the Chingus!", where attendees will have the chance to engage with professionals in the Korean film industry.

The panel includes Lee Yun-kyung, director of the contents research bureau at the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute, and Son Seung-hyun, CEO of West World, the KCC said.

Son's company has provided visual effects for "Smugglers" and popular K-dramas such as "Queen of Tears" and "Extraordinary Attorney Woo."
