Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, the series is set in post-war Korea and follows Jeong-nyeon, a talented singer training at a theater company, Disney+ said in a press release.

"With a dream to become one of the best performers in Korean female classical opera, she will be put on the stage where all odds are against her," the streaming platform said.

Tae-ri, who previously starred in the 2023 mystery thriller series "Revenant," will take on the titular role of Jeong-nyeon.

She will be joined by Shin Ye-eun, known for her portrayal of the younger version of Lim Ji-yeon's bully character in the revenge series "The Glory."

Tae-ri is widely recognized for her role in Park Chan-wook's period film "The Handmaiden," playing a pickpocket who becomes a maid for a heiress.

On television, Tae-ri is known for her performance in the 2022 romance series "Twenty-Five Twenty-One," where she portrayed a fencing prodigy. The role won for her the best actress award at the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards.
