Reports about a solo album from Jin have circulated since his military discharge last June, but HYBE confirmed the release in a press statement on the company's second-quarter earnings.

"Artists under HYBE MUSIC GROUP APAC will continue to deliver stellar performances in the second half of 2024, starting with the solo album release by Jin of BTS later this year," the company said.

The statement also included the forthcoming activities of HYBE's other K-pop acts, including SEVENTEEN's plans to drop a new album and embark on a world tour.

Boy band ENHYPEN is set to hold "encore concerts" in Asia, while girl group Le Sserafim will drop a new extended play this August, HYBE said.

NewJeans plans to embark on a first world tour in 2025, the company added.

Meanwhile, HYBE reported its highest-ever second quarter revenue, raking in 640.5 billion won for the said period of this year.

Last week, HYBE unveiled its new business strategy, HYBE 2.0, which aims to "secure unrivaled leadership in the future entertainment industry."

Key elements under HYBE 2.0 include the establishment of HYBE MUSIC GROUP APAC to oversee music labels based in Korea and Japan; a focus on "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy in the United States, Latin America and Japan; and the launch of a subscription-based membership for fan community app WeVerse.
