Hyun Bin, left, and Jung Woo-sung. Photos courtesy of VAST Entertainment and Artist Company via Disney+Korean superstars Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung are joining forces for Disney+'s upcoming crime thriller series "Made in Korea," the streaming platform said Thursday.

Set in the 1970s, the series follows Ki-tae, portrayed by Hyun Bin, a man driven by an insatiable thirst for wealth and power. His path crosses with Geon-young, played by Woo-sung, a prosecutor who stands in his way.

"Constantly at loggerheads, the pair find themselves involved in an era-defining incident that will forever change their futures," Disney+ said in a press release.

Disney+ said the series is scheduled for release in 2025.

The cast also includes Won Ji-an ("Heartbeat" and "Squid Game 2"), Seo Eun-soo ("The Witch: Part 2. The Other One"), Cho Yeo-jeong ("Parasite") and Jung Sung-il ("The Glory").

Hyun Bin is known for his starring in popular series such as "My Name Is Kim Sam-soon," "Secret Garden," and "Crash Landing on You." Meanwhile, Woo-sung is renowned for his performances in films including "Beat," "Innocent Witness," and "Scarlet Innocence."
