Lily Collins is not only the lead star of Netflix’s romantic comedy series “Emily in Paris,” but also one of its producers.

Asked what she is proudest of in terms of what she contributed to the show's storytelling, Collins said it was creating a character that creator Darren Star had made "so brilliantly already that is unapologetically herself, loves to work, and isn't afraid to take risks."

"We're seeing her (Emily) even more bold and confident and centered, partnered with someone who also isn't afraid to show a vulnerability, not have all of her stuff together and mess up at times," Collins said. "Showcasing that in one person is really important because you can be both things."

The actress shared that just like her character Emily, she has gained a great deal of knowledge and confidence since the first day she stepped on the show’s fashion-infused setting.

"I've learned so much about how to become bolder and stronger within fashion choices for myself," Collins added, "and how to believe that I can pull something off in a way that maybe I didn't think before. Take more risks."

Her co-star Lucas Bravo, who plays Chef Gabriel, revealed why his mother is one of his inspirations in playing the character.

"I’ve always loved to cook. It was my mother's love language," Bravo said. "She wasn't into words of affirmation. It was a really happy home, but she would use the tools that she had to say 'I love you.' And through her food, you could  feel how much care and intention she would put while cooking for her children."

This season, Gabriel and Emily are figuring out what their relationship could be amidst some major life changes.

"He (Gabriel) has more responsibility," said Bravo of his character. "He wants to do it well. I think the baby triggered something. He wants this baby to come into the world with a proud father, a Michelin-star chef. And also within that process, he gathered enough confidence to chase after the woman he loves."

Part one of “Emily in Paris” Season Four is now out on Netflix, and the remaining episodes will come out on Sept. 12.
