Lucas Bravo shines in 'Emily in Paris' Season 4. Netflix 

Lucas Bravo, known for his role as the charming chef Gabriel in the Netflix sensation "Emily in Paris," has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide. 

With the much-awaited release of Season 4, Bravo opened up about his character’s evolution and reflected on his remarkable experience in the Philippines during the French Film Festival last year.

In Season 4, Bravo’s character Gabriel is embarking on a transformative journey. “He’s juggling so much this season, but he’s never been more precise and focused on what he really wants,” Bravo explained. “The Michelin star, Emily, and the baby — this is a coming-of-age season for him. He’s maturing and running towards his goals.”

Fans of the show can expect to see a more determined and goal-oriented Gabriel, marking a significant shift from previous seasons where he seemed uncertain about his desires and future. This character development promises to add depth and excitement to the storyline, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.

Bravo’s visit to the Philippines in 2022 left a lasting impression on the actor. Reflecting on his trip to Manila for the French Film Festival, he expressed genuine surprise and gratitude for the warm reception he received. 

“Honestly, it was such a crazy trip. The way I was welcomed in Manila — I didn’t expect it,” he recounted. “I landed and they gave me a police escort, and the entire staff of the hotel lined up in the lobby to welcome me which is for someone who hardly feels legitimate to anything felt like, you know, a very confronting moment. I had a butler in my room. It was very weird. It was probably a way to show affection but it made me very uncomfortable in the beginning but it was filled with love.”

Despite the initial discomfort of such grand gestures, Bravo embraced the renowned Filipino hospitality. “Every single person I encountered was respectful and thoughtful. I received a lot of love and made a really good friend over there, so I’ll be back very soon,” he said, showing his appreciation for the kindness and warmth extended to him.

The success of "Emily in Paris" has been a game-changer for Bravo, both professionally and personally. “It allowed me to be directly in the room for auditions, to advocate for myself, and have direct access to decision-makers,” he shared. This newfound visibility and opportunity have significantly impacted his career trajectory.

However, Bravo remains grounded, emphasizing the importance of staying connected with close friends and family amidst the chaos of the entertainment industry. “Life is pretty much the same; it depends on who you surround yourself with. Keeping it simple is crucial,” he noted.

Part one of “Emily in Paris” Season 4 premiered on August 15 on Netflix and part two will be released on September 12.
