MANILA  -- Actor Markus Paterson opened up on Thursday on the possibility of quitting show business. 

This was after the actor was asked by a reporter during the press conference for his upcoming series "Pretty Boys" to confirm if he is still considering joining the military in the United Kingdom.

"It was true," the actor said.

"Well I just feel like 'yung tatay ko kasi is getting a bit older, and I am a family-oriented person kaya parang last year, I spent time with them in the UK kaya inisip ko 'yun. Of course andito rin kasi ang anak ko, so, work first and family at the same time," he explained

According to Paterson, he still considering and thinking about his future as he wants to take care of both of his parents in the United Kingdom as well as his son Jude here in the Philippines.

'"Ang hirap kasi mag-balance ng both priorities. I did consider it and still considering it," he said.

But the actor clarified that he just wanted to find the "perfect balance" and this was the reason he said yes to being part of the cast of the boys' love series with The Idea First and Vivamax Plus.

"This was a fun project. Before I met the cast, they made me feel welcome and made me feel safe with these two brilliant actors," he said.
