The two plan to tie the knot in October in a ceremony that will be attended by their close acquaintances, Korean entertainment news website Soompi reported on Monday, citing statements from both artists' agencies.

In January, HyunA and Jun-hyung, who were former labelmates at K-pop company Cube Entertainment, publicly revealed their relationship through matching Instagram posts, which featured photos of the couple holding hands at a beach.

However, some of HyunA's fans expressed dismay on social media due to Jun-hyung's involvement in the Burning Sun scandal, a complex sex scandal that implicated several Korean celebrities.

In 2019, Jun-hyung was accused of being part of a group chat where fellow singer Jung Joon-young shared sex videos filmed without the women's consent, which he denied. However, he later admitted to watching such a video from Joon-young, claiming he did so without knowing the video's content, according to reports.

In 2009, Jun-hyung debuted as a member of Cube's boy band Beast, which rebranded as Highlight in 2017 after switching labels. He eventually left the group in 2019 due to the Burning Sun scandal.

Meanwhile, HyunA was previously a member of the girl groups Wonder Girls and 4Minute under JYP and Cube Entertainment, respectively. She has also enjoyed a successful solo career, with notable singles such as "Bubble Pop!," "Babe," and "Lip & Hip."
