Comedian Dinky Doo Jr. passes away

MANILA -- Comedian Dinky Doo Jr. has passed away on Tuesday morning, July 2.

The sad news was confirmed by his daughter using the comedian's Facebook account.

"Family, Friends, Brethrens... This is his daughter speaking po. I'm here to inform po na wala na po si daddy. 7:20 AM of July 2, 2024, he was pronounced dead. Please, all your prayers to my father and family for him to rest peacefully would be very appreciated. like daddy would say, Salamat po sa Dios sa lahat po ng nangyayari," the post read.

Also on Facebook, Doo's son Jeremiah also confirmed the death and honored his father. 

"See you in 1000 years Daddy Dinky Doo. All the goodness and lessons you planted in me will remain engraved in my heart and mind. Thank you very much for everything Daddy. I love you so much," Jeremiah  wrote.

Doo started his showbiz career in the '80s, and was known for his portrayals as the sidekick or wingman of the lead stars.
